Book Adventure. Use this site to manage your child’s at home reading. The site has quick quizzes for over 3,000 books and awards points for getting >8 out of 10. If you are not sure if your young reader is actually reading the book during reading time, then this is a great site for you.
Book Finder. If you want to find the grade level of any book, use this free site that is associated with Accelerated Reader. Just enter part of the title and click Go. BL is the Book Level or level of difficulty expressed in terms of grade level. For instance, 4.3 means 4th grade 3rd month. Mathletics. Our favorite math site is mathletics.com. It costs $50-60 a year and has all kinds of grade appropriate curricula in a motivational format with weekly reporting to parents. For simple math facts, try this free site: Math-O at A Plus Math.

Children of the Code. A fantastic website put together by scientists and cognitive researchers about learning to decode. There are videos, interviews and articles.
On The Brain. Dr. Michael Merzenich, Fast ForWord founder, writes a fascinating blog on all things brain related.
