There is a demo site where you can play around with all Fast ForWord exercises, early and late levels – so you can see how they work.
However, please note the demo packs an immense amount of processing into this experience and so there are device and browser requirements – as follows:
- Fast ForWord will run on any PC or Mac. Use Safari on a Mac, and Chrome on Windows.
- iPad is the only supported tablet. Please login from Safari.
- FAST FORWARD WILL NOT WORK ON A PHONE.
To try the exercises log into the interactive demo here:
- Type “gemmdemo” for both the username and password – all lowercase.
- Click “Demos” at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to Foundations I or Elements I and click on an exercise, then choose the introduction or a level to open it
- After exploring an exercise, simply close the browser tab and go back to the tab that has the main menu.
Fast ForWord uses slowed-down exercises and modified speech early on, accelerating to natural language speed as students progress. You will notice this by comparing Early & Late levels in an exercise.
