Using MSL Fast ForWord Outside North America
Fast ForWord for North America is on different server than overseas users, and so it’s not accessible if you do not have a North American IP (what is an IP here?). If you travel overseas and want to continue sessions – which we highly recommend, especially for the first 3 months where momentum of neural change is so important! – you will need to install a VPN to access Fast ForWord.
Installing a VPN is easier to use (2-3 steps to set up) and cheaper than you might think ($10-15/month). VPNs give you a way to create a North American computer address (IP) which can access the North American Fast ForWord server.
Setting Up a VPN
To set up, subscribe for a VPN service – we recommend Express VPN here – and download their app and choose a North American location. Then open your web browser, and you will have all the same access you have in North America. The speed is surprisingly fast, every but as fast as browsing without a VPN.
Here is what the connection looks like in Express VPN. You can click Connected power icon to unconnect and connect as you need. Click the three dots to see locations in 90+ countries.

VPNs are not illegal or even shady. And because they have not solved the technology speed issue and no longer slow you down, they are gaining traction as a way to protect your data. This is because VPNs insert a gate between the websites (who collect your data) and your computer (which broadcasts your unique IP web address.)
